Softball Recap: Fairless Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Canton on Friday, Fairless came back down to earth. The Falcons lost 12-1 to the Sandy Valley Cardinals on Monday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hannah Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

Fairless' loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Sandy Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6-1.

Fairless does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandy Valley, they will be taking part in a tournament against West Muskingum at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
