Softball Recap: Canton Little Giants vs. East Peoria Raiders
Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 14-8 to the East Peoria Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Canton of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.
Emma Turner and Allison Wheeler stepped up to the plate in a big way. Turner scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Wheeler went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI. Brooklyn Dennis was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
