Softball Recap: Rocklin Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Rocklin put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Pleasant Grove. The Thunder walked away with a 3-0 win over the Eagles. The victory was familiar territory for the Thunder, who have now won three matches in a row.

Not much got past Payton Prior, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Pleasant Grove off the board. Prior has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sammie Snell was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Rocklin's record now sits at 12-2. As for Pleasant Grove, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-3.

Coming up, Rocklin will head out to challenge St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will host Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
