Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Dylan Schaeffer and Xiovan Tomlinson Lead Texas School for the Deaf to Victory

Texas School for the Deaf's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the DaVinci Lions 35-13. The contest was close at halftime, but the Rangers turned on the heat in the second half with 21 points.

Texas School for the Deaf was led to victory by Xiovan Tomlinson and Dylan Schaeffer. Tomlinson threw for 190 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes, while Schaeffer gained 115 total yards and three touchdowns. That's the most passing touchdowns Tomlinson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Texas School for the Deaf now has a winning record of 2-1. As for DaVinci, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Texas School for the Deaf will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Founders Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 25th. As for DaVinci, they will host Our Lady of the Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
