Basketball Recap: Sunshine Bible Academy Gets the Win

Sunshine Bible Academy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the North Central Thunder 47-44. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered a 50-31 loss the last time these two teams met.

Trey Thieman had an outrageously good game as he went 8-for-13 en route to 21 points. He is becoming a predictor of Sunshine Bible Academy's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 2-1 (and 3-11 when he doesn't). Isaac Hague was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Sunshine Bible Academy pushed their record up to 5-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunshine Bible Academy will take on Mitchell Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McLaughlin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
