Soccer Game Preview: Rolling Meadows vs. Riverside-Brookfield

The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Rolling Meadows' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rolling Meadows' offense. They fell 2-0 to Hersey on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Rolling Meadows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 161st, while Hersey are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Riverside-Brookfield also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Glenbard South by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Riverside-Brookfield have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverside-Brookfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Rolling Meadows, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Rolling Meadows skirted past Riverside-Brookfield 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
