Allen Park faced Grand Blanc in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Sunday. The Jaguars walked away with a 4-1 win over the Bobcats. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaguars, who have now won ten games in a row.

Alexa Hawrot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mallory Hool, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kiley Carr, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Allen Park pushed their record up to 28-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Grand Blanc, they moved to 27-4 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Coming up, Allen Park will head out to challenge Lincoln Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grand Blanc, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Central at 5:30 p.m.
