Baseball Preview: Clay County Bulldogs vs. Livingston Academy Wildcats
Clay County is 1-9 against Livingston Academy since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Clay County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over Pickett County. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
Brady Dailey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Brown, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Livingston Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Warriors. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Livingston Academy now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Clay County, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
