Basketball Recap: Holbrook Falls Short of Douglas in the Playoffs

Holbrook and Douglas squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Holbrook had to settle for second. They fell 37-24 to the Douglas Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 63 points in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Holbrook still got an impressive performance from Ashya Dingle, who posted 18 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. The game was Dingle's third in a row with at least 18 points.

Holbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Douglas, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Holbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Douglas, they will challenge Narragansett Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Narragansett Regional is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season.
