Basketball Recap: Logan Gale's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Neshaminy over Plymouth Whitemarsh

Neshaminy entered their game against Plymouth Whitemarsh on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Neshaminy Skins fell to the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials 69-63. While losing is never fun, the Skins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Colonials are ranked 42nd).

Neshaminy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Logan Gale, who went 7 of 13 en route to 17 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Jason Leiva, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points and seven assists.

Plymouth Whitemarsh was led to victory by Mani Sajid and Michael Pererira. Sajid went 6 of 14 on his way to 21 points, while Pererira went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Buddy Denard, who posted 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Neshaminy and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Central Bucks East the next time they take the court. Neshaminy will host Central Bucks East at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Plymouth Whitemarsh will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
