Basketball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Takes a Loss

Cripple Creek-Victor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles and fell 64-20. If the Pioneers were looking for revenge after losing 74-26 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Devon Reyes was Cripple Creek-Victor's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Pikes Peak Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eddie Harmon led the charge by shooting 89% from the field en route to 18 points. Harmon is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Crocfer, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 18 points.

Cripple Creek-Victor's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Pikes Peak Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Cripple Creek-Victor nor Pikes Peak Christian have any future games scheduled.
