Softball Recap: Easton Area Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Easton Area proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Freedom Patriots, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Rovers, who have now won four matches in a row.

Audrey Rinda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Thalia Burns was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

Easton Area pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Freedom, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.

As of now, neither Easton Area nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
