Roger Martin and K.J. Hunter provided fans with a highlight when they connected against New Deal. The connection was good for 57 yards, the longest such play in 2A-1 Region I District 2 this season.

Denver City moved up to 224 from 388 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs climbed the ranks as a result of beating Pecos 37-14.

Lamesa's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Martin threw for 236 and 2 touchdowns and Hunter had 102 yards receiving.
