Softball Recap: Triad Comes Up Short

After flying high against Highland on Wednesday, Triad came back down to earth. The Knights took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centralia Orphans on Friday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Orphans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Centralia, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Coming up, Triad will host Mascoutah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Centralia, they will venture away from home to take on Mater Dei at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
