George Wilcox Delivers Best Effort of Season

George Wilcox produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Leake Academy to the win on Friday. Wilcox's passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 315 passing yards dating back to last season. He also passed for 358 passing yards, which is notable because Leake Academy is 3-1 when he posts at least 250 passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

If the past is any indication, Wilcox could be in store for another big game when he takes on East Rankin Academy on Friday. Wilcox threw for 461 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground the last time he and the Patriots duked it out back in October of 2023.

Lamar now has a winning record of 4-3. Trotter and Lamar will host Simpson Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
