Soccer Game Preview: Parkwood vs. Central Academy

The Parkwood Wolf Pack will face off against the Central Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Parkwood had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Piedmont put an end to it on Tuesday. The Wolf Pack came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. Parkwood haven't had much luck with Piedmont recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Central Academy kept a clean sheet against Monroe on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Redhawks. Considering Central Academy have won six contests by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Central Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12. As for Parkwood, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8-1.

Parkwood beat Central Academy by a goal in their previous meeting back in April, winning 2-1. Will the Wolf Pack repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
