Carver extends home winning streak to seven

The Carver Tigers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Shaw as Carver made off with a 78-54 win. Carver might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Carver to victory were Jakobe Caslin and Tony Montgomery . Caslin scored 15 points along with five steals, while Montgomery scored 29 points along with five rebounds. The match was Montgomery 's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Champ Simpson, who scored ten points.

Carver's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Shaw, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Carver will take on Jordan in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Jordan has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14. Shaw won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Russell County at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th. Russell County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
