Basketball Game Preview: Morgan Eagles vs. Avalon Eagles

The Morgan Eagles will head out to face off against the Avalon Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Morgan has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Avalon will arrive with three straight victories.

Morgan is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Abbott on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Morgan took a blow against Abbott, falling 69-24. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Avalon was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Blum 59-28. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 31 points or more this season.

Avalon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
