Football Recap: Sebring Blue Streaks vs. Booker Tornadoes
After flying high against Kathleen last Friday, Sebring came back down to earth. The Blue Streaks fell 27-20 to the Booker Tornadoes on Friday. The Blue Streaks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tornadoes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Booker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mike Peterson, who rushed for 103 yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Joel Morris, who threw for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Sebring's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Booker, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
Sebring wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 34-7 defeat against Lakeland on the 10th. As for Booker, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-0 win against Gibbs on the 10th.
