Basketball Recap: Isabella Comes Up Short

Isabella was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 89-17 loss at the hands of the Aliceville Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-12 last Monday.

Leading Aliceville to victory were Kaliyah Ball and Tashia Williams. Ball posted 19 points and four steals, while Williams dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 steals. Another player making a difference was Samora Jordan, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards.

Isabella's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Aliceville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Isabella will head out to face off against Tuscaloosa Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aliceville, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Greene County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
