Baseball Game Preview: Central Red Devils vs. Auburn Tigers

For the second straight game, Central will face off against Auburn. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Central will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Auburn, taking the game 8-4.

For Auburn's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Whatley, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another was Britt Farr, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Auburn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.
