After three games on the road, Copley is heading back home. They will take on the Buckeye Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Copley is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Ohio (they are ranked 16th, while Buckeye is ranked 734th).

Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Copley, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-47 loss to Gilmour Academy.

Copley's loss came about despite a quality game from Izzy Callaway, who scored 20 points. That was a full 42.6% of Copley's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kami Ayoup, who scored eight points.

Meanwhile, Buckeye had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Black River 54-35 last Saturday. Buckeye's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Buckeye to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tami Chovancova, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chovancova has scored all season. Ruby Hudak was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Copley's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-3. As for Buckeye, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-20.
