Baseball Recap: St. Clair Victorious

St. Clair won the last time they faced St. James and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 6-3.

Tyler Tomes and Nate Short did most of the damage at the plate: Tomes went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Short went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave Short a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Martin, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

St. Clair's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for St. James, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13.

Coming up, St. Clair will welcome North County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. James, they will face off against Waynesville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
