Soccer Recap: Swansea Beats Newberry for Their Third Straight Win

Swansea kept a clean sheet against Newberry on Friday. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Jenrry Valentin was the driving force of Swansea's attack as he scored both of Swansea's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

The victory (which was Swansea's third in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Newberry, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Swansea will head out on the road to challenge A.C. Flora at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Newberry, they will welcome Saluda at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Newberry will need to watch out since Saluda have now posted at least four goals in their last three matches.
