Basketball Game Preview: Huron Tigers vs. Port Clinton Redskins

The Huron Tigers will challenge the Port Clinton Redskins at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Huron's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Last Saturday, Huron was able to grind out a solid win over Western Reserve, taking the game 60-50. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Roughriders are ranked 727th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Port Clinton ended up a good deal behind Van Buren on Monday and lost 58-40. The game marked the Redskins' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Huron pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Port Clinton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
