Basketball Recap: Gatesville Falls Short of Almeta Crawford in the Playoffs

Gatesville and Almeta Crawford squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gatesville had to settle for second. They fell 70-62 to the Almeta Crawford Chargers.

Almeta Crawford found their leader in sophomore Alvin Mosley, who went 10-for-14 en route to 28 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. The matchup was Mosley's third in a row with at least 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Green, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and three steals.

Gatesville's loss dropped their record down to 21-14. As for Almeta Crawford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 23 of their last 25 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.

Gatesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Almeta Crawford, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-64 defeat against Washington on the 25th.
