The North Stanly Comets and the College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.

On Thursday, North Stanly was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-33 to Providence Grove.

Meanwhile, College Prep & Leadership Academy came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 40-38 victory from a begrudging Royals squad.

North Stanly has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
