Football Recap: Valentine Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Valentine and Hershey meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Valentine was dealt a 58-28 defeat at the hands of Hershey. The matchup was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but Valentine couldn't quite close it out.

Trystan Beebout threw for 189 yards and one touchdown. Dominic Beebout was his top target, picking up 168 receiving yards and one TD.

Valentine's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hershey, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Valentine will challenge rival Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 884 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Hershey is set to face off against their familiar foe Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
