The Canterbury School Saints will square off against the Greenwich Country Day Tigers at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The timing is sure in Canterbury School's favor as the  squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Greenwich Country Day has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Last Wednesday, Canterbury School was able to grind out a solid  win over Frederick Gunn, taking the game  7-3. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  victory against them.
 Carter Heagle made a big impact no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Heagle was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other pitching news, Canterbury School got a great performance from  Jack Jensen as he  struck out ten batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned runs off only  two  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Tyler Kisling was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Tyler Harmony, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run.
Meanwhile, Greenwich Country Day fell victim to Hamden Hall Country Day and their airtight pitching crew  on Thursday. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of  2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  defeat the Tigers have suffered  since May 7, 2024.
 Greenwich Country Day saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ahmad Merrit, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double. That  double was  Merrit's first of the season.
 Canterbury School's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Greenwich Country Day, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Greenwich Country Day's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Canterbury School hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .380. It's a different story for Greenwich Country Day, though, as  they've  only  averaged .168. Will they be able to contain Canterbury School's hitters?
