Baseball Recap: Wonewoc-Center Takes a Loss

Wonewoc-Center lost against Royall back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolves came up short against the Panthers, falling 21-2.

Wonewoc-Center saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Byrdy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Reid Byrdy was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Wonewoc-Center's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Royall, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Wonewoc-Center will welcome Cashton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Royall, they are taking a road trip to challenge De Soto at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
