Recap: Preston Indians vs. Star Valley Braves
The Preston Indians lost against the Star Valley Braves back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Preston fell 42-30 to Star Valley. Preston has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Preston had strong showings from Ellie Nelson, who scored eight points along with three steals, and Maycie Knapp, who scored two points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Emily Dana continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Star Valley, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kenlee Engelhardt, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Preston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Star Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-7.
Preston will be playing in front of their home fans against Burley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Star Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Evanston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evanston is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
