Mt. Ararat is 1-9 against Lewiston since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mt. Ararat will bounce into Monday's game after beating Brunswick, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Dragons on Saturday.
Emma Marquis made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Marquis was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Graffam, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Kamryn Chase was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Mt. Ararat kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brunswick only managed eight.
Meanwhile, Lewiston hadn't done well against Skowhegan recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Blue Devils skirted past the River Hawks 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Devils have posted since May 21, 2025.
The victory made it two in a row for Lewiston and bumps their season record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Mt. Ararat, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-6.
