Softball Game Preview: Williamson Marauders vs. Gananda Central Blue Panthers

The Williamson Marauders are taking a road trip to challenge the Gananda Central Blue Panthers at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses dating back to last season for Williamson and four for Gananda Central dating back to last season.

Williamson came up short against North Rose-Wolcott on Tuesday, falling 16-4. That's two games in a row now that the Marauders have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Meanwhile, Gananda Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 16-4 to Sodus on April 7th.

Williamson's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Gananda Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Williamson took their victory against Gananda Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 22-5 score. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
