Football Recap: Air Academy Triumphs + How To Watch

The third road matchup was the charm for Air Academy, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with a 32-19 win over the Standley Lake Gators on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Kadets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cade Ballard went supernova, rushing for 108 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 115 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Noah Edwards did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 103 receiving yards.

Standley Lake's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Teagan Leighton, who rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 135 yards and one TD.

The victory got Air Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Standley Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Air Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 43-6 win against Sierra on the 26th. As for Standley Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-28 loss against Skyline on the 26th.
