Volleyball Recap: Community Gets the Win

Community took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Spring Hill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings/Viqueens narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Raiders 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Vikings/Viqueens: when they faced off against the Raiders last Monday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Community was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-99), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 17-25, 17-25, 15-12.

Community's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Spring Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.

Looking ahead, Community will challenge Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spring Hill, they will venture away from home to take on Franklin Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
