Basketball Recap: White Creek Christian Academy Takes a Loss

White Creek Christian Academy was the 44-29 winner over Eastgate Life Academy when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The White Creek Christian Academy Eagles fell just short of Eastgate Life Academy by a score of 37-35 on Tuesday. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastgate Life Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoey Barrett, who went 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Those 16 points gave Barrett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Neely Anderson, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, White Creek Christian Academy fell to 2-1. As for Eastgate Life Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White Creek Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Classical at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Eastgate Life Academy, they will be playing at home against Woody Gap at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
