Baseball Recap: Deming Now 12-4 over Last 16 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Deming rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Bloomfield Bobcats. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Bobcats on Friday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Deming's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Estevan Mariscal, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another was Daniel Porras, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Deming kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Deming is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Bloomfield, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 21-6 record.

Deming will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
