Basketball Recap: Landmark Christian Comes Up Short

Landmark Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Family Christian Academy Lions, falling 71-47. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-50 back in December of 2024.

Family Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaysen Francois, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. Francois' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ezra Rivera, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 21 boards.

Landmark Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Family Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landmark Christian will square off against Heritage Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Family Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Christian Learning Academy at 7:00 p.m.
