Recap: Columbia County Christian vs. Northumberland Christian Warriors
After flying high against Meadowbrook Christian last Friday, Columbia County Christian came back down to earth. Columbia County Christian fell to Northumberland Christian 46-40. It was the first time this season that Columbia County Christian let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Columbia County Christian had strong showings from Clay Farley, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, and Pierce Cughan, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Columbia County Christian's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3. As for Northumberland Christian, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia County Christian will challenge Walnut Street Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northumberland Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Juniata Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. Juniata Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
