Elder has gone 9-1 against La Salle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Elder Panthers will take on the La Salle Lancers at 7:30 p.m. Elder will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Elder didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Archbishop Moeller, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Salle). They enjoyed a cozy 74-55 victory over Archbishop McNicholas on Tuesday. With that win, the Lancers brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

Elder better keep an eye on Drae Arnold. He was instrumental in La Salle's win, going 9 of 10 on his way to 30 points and five rebounds. Arnold has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Patrick Mclaughlin, who posted 18 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

La Salle is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Elder, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Elder strolled past La Salle in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 65-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elder since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
