Basketball Game Preview: Lunenburg Central Chargers vs. Nottoway Cougars

Lunenburg Central hasn't had much luck against Nottoway recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lunenburg Central Chargers will take on the Nottoway Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Lunenburg Central is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Lunenburg Central will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Randolph-Henry, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Lunenburg Central skirted past Randolph-Henry 56-53.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nottoway, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 68-60 victory over King William on Thursday.

Nottoway's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Lunenburg Central, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Lunenburg Central beat Nottoway 70-59 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lunenburg Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
