Forbush proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Elkin Buckin' Elks 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Forbush were the better team in the second half.

Forbush pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three contests. As for Elkin, they moved to 8-4-1 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forbush will welcome West Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forbush are facing West Wilkes at the right time seeing as West Wilkes are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Elkin, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Alleghany at 5:30 p.m.
