Basketball Recap: Cumberland Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kayla Hill and Leahna Kindle

Cumberland Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 57-47 to the Carlisle Indians. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

LeAhna Kindle and Kayla Hill certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Kindle posted 21 points, while Hill earned 16 points.

Carlisle now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Cumberland Academy and Carlisle will both be playing Harleton the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will head out to face them at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
