Recap: Huron Tigers vs. Clyde Fliers
The Huron Tigers fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Clyde Fliers on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fliers. Huron just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Clyde's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzlie Guhn, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Guhn pulled down eight or more rebounds. Reese Daniel was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Huron bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Clyde, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Huron will head out on the road to face off against Port Clinton at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Port Clinton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Huron in Ohio (Port Clinton is ranked 167th, while Huron is ranked 586th). As for Clyde, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perkins at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
