Volleyball Game Preview: Hinsdale Central Red Devils vs. Hinsdale South Hornets

The Hinsdale Central Red Devils will challenge the Hinsdale South Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hinsdale Central is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Hinsdale Central came up short against Glenbard West and fell 2-0.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Glenbard West scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Hinsdale South also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to St. Charles East by a score of 2-0.

While Hinsdale South ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18.

Hinsdale South's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8. As for Hinsdale Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17.

Hinsdale Central couldn't quite get it done against Hinsdale South in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
