Volleyball Recap: Ashford's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Ashford can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They blew past the Dale County Warriors 3-0. The Yellowjackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Ashford was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-19.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allie Buckelew, who had ten digs. Leah Grace Snellgrove was another key player, getting five digs and two blocks.

Ashford's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Dale County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Ashford and Dale County will both be playing Geneva the next time they take the court. The Yellowjackets will host the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
