Basketball Game Preview: Ridgewood Generals vs. Garaway Pirates

Ridgewood is 2-8 against Garaway since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Ridgewood Generals will welcome the Garaway Pirates at 1:00 p.m. Ridgewood will be strutting in after a victory while Garaway will be coming in after a defeat.

Ridgewood will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Malvern, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. Ridgewood breezed by Malvern to the tune of 59-31 on Thursday. The Generals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Garaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 52-19 defeat at the hands of Sandy Valley. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-13.

Ridgewood's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Garaway, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Ridgewood strolled past Garaway in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 47-33. Will Ridgewood repeat their success, or does Garaway have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
