Baseball Recap: Northland Christian Triumphs

While Northland Christian's victory against Geneva wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2019.

Luke Edmonds spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, Northland Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JT Turner, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Northland Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Geneva, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Northland Christian will challenge Tomball Kings at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
