Basketball Game Preview: DSST: College View Wolves vs. KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers

The DSST: College View Wolves will take on the KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

DSST: College View is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since February 16, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against Denver West, falling 65-45. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Cowboys are ranked 41st).

DSST: College View might have lost, but man, Isaias Tomita was a machine: he went 7-for-13 to rack up 19 points and seven steals. Tomita is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least seven every time he's taken the court this season. Alejandro Sandoval was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Meanwhile, KIPP Denver Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 75-55 to The Pinnacle.

DSST: College View's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-4. As for KIPP Denver Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

DSST: College View was able to grind out a solid victory over KIPP Denver Collegiate when the teams last played back in November of 2023, winning 62-50. Will DSST: College View repeat their success, or does KIPP Denver Collegiate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
