Softball Recap: Timpanogos Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Timpanogos unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 12-5 to the Springville Red Devils on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

Kelci Gingras made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleah Sao, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Coincidentally, Timpanogos and Springville will both be playing American Fork the next time they take the field. Springville will head out to face American Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Timpanogos will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
